Above all, I intended this blog to be a tool for exploring “the ontological status of the mind / Self“, - Existence as such“, – the “Ding an-sich“, – the “ghost-in-the-machine /beyond the machine“..
“Who am I? Perhaps this is the only question life really throws at us. Maybe all our scientific endeavours are, one way or another, directed at it. Maybe cosmologists trying to understand the origin of the universe, biologists working on evolution or psychologists studying behaviour are driven by the same desire to know”.
So far, however, I find myself writing mainly about political issues, – religion, freedom of speech, Middle East.
In view of what is happening in the Arab World, this has proven to be highly relevant, – but truth is it is mainly a consequence of me getting caught up in worldly affairs..
Subjects, then, are Ontology of Self, – - but also politics, – religion, – Middle East conflict, - Freedom of Expression, - music, art..
Anything relevant to the Human Predicament really, and last but not least: Transhumanism. There has to be a reason why I call myself / this blog “Transhumanisten”, right ? – (Danish for The Transhumanist).
